ZW32-12 Series Pole-Mounted Circuit Breakers

The ZW32-12 indoor high-voltage vacuum circuit breaker, also known as an indoor pole-mounted vacuum circuit breaker, can switch and interrupt load current, overload current, and short-circuit current in power systems. It can be used directly for switching operations on 10kV equipment, and it can also be employed at sectionalizing points along 10kV distribution lines to ensure rapid isolation and removal of faults within that section.

Product Description

Product Overview

The ZW32-12 indoor high-voltage vacuum circuit breaker, also known as an indoor pole-mounted vacuum circuit breaker, can switch and interrupt load current, overload current, and short-circuit current in power systems. It can be used directly for switching operations on 10kV equipment, and it can also be employed at sectionalizing points along 10kV distribution lines to ensure rapid isolation and removal of faults within that section.

It is suitable for use in substation and industrial & mining enterprise power distribution systems, where it provides protection and control functions, and is also appropriate for locations with frequent switching operations in rural power grids. It is an indoor switchgear rated at 12 kV, three-phase, 50 Hz AC.

The FTU can be configured for comprehensive use, enabling circuit breakers to provide protective functions while also offering remote telemetry, remote signaling, and remote control capabilities. Multiple circuit breakers can be centrally managed to enhance the response speed of management personnel during faults and to provide corresponding fault data support.

Main Features

1. It features basic functions such as switching and interrupting load current, overload current, and short-circuit current, making it the standard model in the ZW32-12 series. When used in conjunction with an isolating switch, the circuit breaker can be configured as a “isolated circuit breaker” with a distinct breaking point (hereinafter referred to as “isolated circuit breaker”). Users can opt to install silicone rubber insulation covers on the isolating switch, which offer excellent protection against rain, snow, wind, and sand, while also resisting pollution and corrosion—effectively preventing ice formation and oxidation on the isolating switch.

2. At the user’s request, surge arresters can be installed, and the device can be equipped with inrush current controllers to provide inrush current suppression and overcurrent fast-trip protection. Additionally, 2–3 measuring or metering current transformers can be added.

3. When equipped with a controller (FTU), it can be configured as an intelligent circuit breaker to realize distribution network automation. It is suitable for both radial and ring‑fed power supply systems. The intelligent version supports functions such as three‑stage protection, small‑current ground fault protection, and reclosing protection, with continuously adjustable parameters. It enables wired/wireless remote control and also supports wireless remote operation from under the pole.

4. It can be equipped with voltage transformers (electronic and electromagnetic types). The voltage transformer can draw power from the high-voltage side of the line and, as needed, supply 220V, 110V, or 100V to the device itself or to other control equipment. This circuit breaker can be used for monitoring line voltage; when overvoltage or undervoltage occurs, the controller automatically trips the circuit breaker. It is widely applicable at the grid connection points between small hydropower feeder lines and the main power grid, enabling network monitoring and automatic fault isolation. This circuit breaker (metering type) can output voltage and current signals with Class 0.2 accuracy, making it an ideal choice for rural power grid substations, off‑site distributed switchgear, and simple metering switches.

Ordering Instructions

1. When placing an order, please specify the product model. For example, indicate the rated current of the sectionalizing circuit breaker, the rated short-circuit breaking current, the quantity, and the product configuration (such as the current transformer ratio, accuracy, capacity, quantity, and factory‑specified transformation ratio).

2. Users must specify the installation method and select the corresponding mounting bracket and fastening accessories.

3. Users can select the appropriate functional configuration based on their specific requirements, such as whether the GPRS controller, the main body of the sectionalizing circuit breaker, is equipped with an isolating switch, and what spare parts are included.
