Product Model and Meaning

Operating Environment

1. Ambient air temperature: -20°C to +35°C;

2. Relative air humidity: ≤90% (at a relative ambient temperature of 20°C–25°C);

3. Altitude ≤ 2,500 m;

4. Environmental Conditions: Suitable for indoor installation (within a cabinet), but not suitable for locations with fire or explosion hazards, severe contamination, chemical corrosion, or intense vibration. 5. During installation, the tilt angle relative to the vertical plane should be ≤5°. Note: If the operating environment exceeds the above‑mentioned normal conditions, consultation with the manufacturer is required.

Main Structural Features

The cabinet frame shall be fabricated from profiles or steel plates with a thickness of no less than 1.5 mm, joined by welding or screw assembly, and its surface shall be coated with an anti-corrosion layer. The outer surface of the device enclosure should generally be spray-coated with a non-glare, reflective‑resistant finish, and the surface must be free from defects such as blistering, cracking, or flow marks.
The device is equipped with discharge measures that ensure, after the capacitor is de-energized, it discharges from its rated voltage peak to 50 V within no more than 3 minutes. The device features power-frequency overvoltage protection: when the voltage applied to the device reaches 1.1 times the rated voltage, the capacitor will be disconnected within 1 minute.

Automatic control devices can be operated using methods such as cyclical switching or coded switching. During automatic switching, each capacitor bank is either switched in or switched out in a way that ensures the voltage across its terminals does not exceed 10% of the capacitor’s rated voltage when it is reconnected.

Three-phase compensation devices with more than two compensation branches should be equipped with phase‑loss protection. This phase‑loss protection ensures that, when the main circuit or a branch circuit experiences a phase loss, all capacitor banks or the capacitors in the affected branch are disconnected. The device’s dynamic response time must meet system requirements and should not exceed 1 second.
