Product Overview

The MNS low-voltage withdrawable switchgear is suitable for three-phase AC systems operating at 50 or 60 Hz, with a rated voltage of 660 V and a rated current of 4000 A or less, in both three-phase four-wire and three-phase five-wire power systems, serving as a device for receiving and distributing electrical energy. It is widely used in power plants, substations, industrial and mining enterprises, and high‑rise buildings as power distribution centers and motor control centers.

Operating Environment

1. Ambient air temperature: -5°C to +40°C, with an average temperature of ≤+35°C over a 24-hour period.

2. For indoor installation and use, the altitude of the installation location must be ≤ 2000 m.

3. Air cleanliness: At a high temperature of +40°C, the relative humidity should be ≤50%; at lower temperatures, a higher relative humidity is permissible. For example, at +20°C, the relative humidity can reach 90%, but considering temperature fluctuations, moderate condensation may occasionally occur.

4. During installation, the tilt angle relative to the vertical plane should be ≤5°.

5. The device is designed to withstand transportation and storage under the following temperature conditions: a range between -25°C and +55°C, with short-term exposure (≤24 hours) up to 70°C. Under these temperatures, the device should not sustain any irreversible damage and must continue to operate normally under standard conditions.

6. The equipment should be installed in a location free from severe vibration and impact, as well as in an environment where electrical components are not subject to corrosive conditions. Note: If the operating environment exceeds the above‑mentioned standard conditions, consultation with the manufacturer is required.

Main Structural Features

1. The basic frame of the switchgear adopts a modular, assembled structure. KB steel profiles are securely fastened together using self-tapping locking screws to form the fundamental cabinet frame, which is then further configured into a complete switchgear assembly by adding corresponding doors, enclosure panels, partition plates, mounting brackets, busbars, functional units, and other components according to project requirements. All internal structures are galvanized; alternatively, aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets can be used in production, with standardized, modular installation (1E = 25 mm). The switchgear panel is fabricated from steel plate processed on CNC machine tools, then undergoes acid pickling and phosphating before being coated with electrostatic powder coating, offering excellent abrasion resistance and corrosion protection. It boasts both robust mechanical strength and reliable grounding continuity.

2. The switchgear compartments can be divided into functional unit rooms, busbar rooms, and cable rooms. Each unit’s functions are relatively independent, yet the areas are strictly separated by metallic or flame‑retardant partition walls that provide continuous protection, preventing the spread of faults. The horizontal busbars are installed in a flat configuration to minimize electrical and thermal stresses, and all busbars are tinned.

3. The MNS cabinet drawers are available in five standard sizes: 8E/4, 8E/2, 8E, 16E, and 24E (1E = 25 mm). Each drawer features connection position, test position, disconnection position, moving position, and separation position. Mechanical interlocks are installed between the drawers and the switch: the drawer can only be pulled out or inserted when the switch is in the open position; conversely, the drawer cannot be pulled out or inserted when the switch is in the closed position. To prevent unauthorized operations, the operating mechanism can be equipped with a padlock to secure the switch in the open position. Drawers from functional units of the same specification can be easily interchanged. Each functional unit drawer is equipped with 16–32 auxiliary contacts, meeting the requirements of remote operation and control, electricity metering, and automated monitoring systems with computer interfaces.
