The HXGN□-12 fixed-type AC metal‑enclosed ring network switchgear (hereinafter referred to as the ring main unit) is suitable for AC distribution systems with a rated voltage of 12 kV and a rated frequency of 50 Hz. It employs load switches, load switch–fuse combinations, and vacuum circuit breakers as its primary components, enabling the configuration of ring network power supply units for terminal power delivery, while also allowing for flexible integration in accordance with the main wiring requirements of substations and distribution stations.

Product Overview

The HXGN-12 Fixed-Type AC Metal-Enclosed Ring Main Unit Switchgear (referred to as a ring main unit cabinet) is designed for AC distribution systems with a rated voltage of 12 kV and a rated frequency of 50 Hz. It utilizes load switches, load switch–fuse combinations, and vacuum circuit breakers as its primary components, enabling the construction of ring‑fed power supply units for terminal power delivery while also allowing flexible configuration in accordance with the main busbar arrangements required for substations and distribution stations. This product has been verified through type tests and its performance meets the requirements of IEC 6221-200 “High-Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear – Part 200: Metal-Enclosed AC Switchgear and Controlgear Rated at More Than 1 kV but Not Exceeding 52 kV (including 52 kV)” as well as GB 3906 “3.6 kV–40.5 kV AC Metal-Enclosed Switchgear and Controlgear” and GB 3804 “3.6 kV–40.5 kV High-Voltage AC Load Switches,” among other relevant standards. It also satisfies the dual requirements for reliable anti-misoperation functionality and achieves an ingress protection rating of IP2X. Operating Environment

1. Altitude ≤ 1000 m;

2. Ambient air temperature: -25°C to +40°C, with an average value of ≤35°C over a 24-hour period.

3. Environmental Humidity: Monthly average relative humidity ≤ 90%; daily average relative humidity ≤ 95%.

4. Saturation Vapor Pressure: Daily average ≤ 2.2 × 10⁻³ MPa, monthly average ≤ 1.8 × 10⁻³ MPa;

5. During equipment installation, the tilt angle relative to the vertical plane should not exceed 5 degrees.

6. Locations free from fire hazards, explosion risks, severe pollution, chemical corrosion, and intense vibrations;

Main Features

The cabinet body is constructed by bending steel plates into individual components, which are then assembled using bolts. Its protection rating complies with the IP2X standard.

The upper part of the switchgear cabinet houses the busbar chamber, while the instrument room is located at the front of the busbar chamber and is separated by steel plates. The middle section of the cabinet serves as the cable room, with a partition installed between the main busbar chamber and the cable room. For cable-in/cable-out switchgear cabinets, the bottom of the cabinet is equipped with removable, movable cover plates; for overhead-line switchgear cabinets, the top of the cabinet can be fitted with busbar ducts or barrier racks according to user requirements. Ring main units are equipped with the following interlocks:

·After the grounding switch is closed, the load switch cannot operate.

·After the load switch is closed, the grounding switch cannot operate.

·The front and middle doors of the ring main unit may only be opened when the load switch is open and the grounding switch is closed; in all other cases, the front and lower doors remain locked.

·After the front and middle doors are opened, neither the grounding switch nor the load switch can be operated.
